This test can be taken in centers around the country and will test everything from you knowledge of the natural sciences through to your reasoning ability. This is a multiple choice test from which you can score a maximum of 30. The average DAT score for those students accepted during the last year was 19.

Your GPA is another important factor in the selections process and the average GPA of accepted students was 3.6 with 3.58 being the science GPA.

You also need to provide letters of recommendation, you require either one letter from an academic committee and a letter from a practicing dentist, or you will have to supply four letters. This would be one letter from an academic professor, one from a dentist and two further letters from either professors, supervisors, dentists.

This service provides you with an online portal to have your application delivered to as many dental colleges or schools as you wish. Applications are accepted  from the start of June through to the end of September which is a much narrower window than many other dental colleges in the country.
