Candidates who enter universities with pre dental programs are required to take dental admission test for them to be accepted in any schools they are applying for. Applying to Take Dental School Admissions Test

In order to take dental admission test, pre dental student needs to get an approval from the Department of Testing Services at ADA. You are required to obtain DENTPIN and submit your application that can be done online. The time you get an approval in taking DAT, keep in mind that you only have six months to take it. There are no extensions and you can’t able to ask for refund if you unable to take the DAT on time that is why you need to be sure you are committed and ready to take the test.

Cost of Dental Admission Test

The current fee for DAT is $385 and it is a non-transferable and non-refundable fee. The fee includes the official score that will be reported to all schools that you listed on your dental admission test application regardless of how many schools you listed. Unofficial score and official score report will be provided. The good thing is that you are allowed to submit updates to universities you choose on your dental admission test application.

Financial Assistance For DAT

The good news about ADA is that they are offering partial fee waiver for US or resident alien students that receive financial aid in his/her educational school. The waiver covers fifty percent of the specified fee and don’t cover additional charges for score reporting after initial application.
